Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

To use HomeLifeSpan, you must:

1. Be 18 years or older, or
2. Be 13 or older with parental/guardian consent
3. Have the legal capacity to enter contracts
4. Not be barred by applicable law

HomeLifeSpan is not intended for users under age 13.

2. Changes to the Service and Agreement

We may update or change:

• The Service
• Features
• Prices
• These Terms

Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Your continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

3. User Content

HomeLifeSpan allows you to upload or store documents and data including:

• Receipts
• Warranties
• Photos
• Appliance information
• Notes
• Household metadata

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have rights to all content you upload
• Your content does not violate law or third-party IP rights
• Content contains no malicious code
• Content is not illegal, harmful, or abusive
• You comply with any relevant third-party licenses

You grant HomeLifeSpan a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:

• Store
• Process
• Display
• Transmit
• Back up

…content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. If you delete content, HomeLifeSpan will make reasonable efforts to remove it, but cached copies may remain temporarily.

HomeLifeSpan is not responsible for user content nor does it endorse it.

4. Technology Limitations

We aim for high uptime, but:

• Planned maintenance
• Unexpected outages
• Third-party disruptions (Supabase, Stripe, cloud services)

…may affect access.

We may modify or discontinue features without liability.

5. Pricing, Payments, Renewals

Paid plans (monthly, annual) and LTD (lifetime) plans may be offered.

By upgrading, you agree to:

• Pay recurring fees in advance
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• Stripe as the payment processor

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect on the next billing period. We do not issue refunds except where required by law.

6. Cancellations

You may cancel at any time via your account dashboard.

Upon cancellation:

• Your plan will not renew
• You retain access until the current billing period ends
• No proration or refunds for partial months

Lifetime plans remain active unless HomeLifeSpan ceases operations.

7. Copyright & DMCA Policy

If you believe your copyrighted material is present within HomeLifeSpan without authorization, contact support@homelifespan.co.

We respond to all valid DMCA notices and may:

• Remove infringing material
• Disable accounts for repeat infringers

8. Intellectual Property

All HomeLifeSpan:

• Software
• Graphics
• Logos
• Design
• Trademarks
• Content

remain the exclusive property of HomeLifeSpan.

Your use does not grant rights to reproduce or distribute any HomeLifeSpan materials.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access:

• For violation of these Terms
• For unlawful behavior
• For fraudulent or abusive use
• If required by law

You may terminate by discontinuing use or closing your account.

Sections that survive termination include IP rights, indemnity, warranties, and limitations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

HomeLifeSpan will not be liable for:

• Lost data
• Lost profits
• Service interruptions
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the past 12 months.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind:

• No guarantee of error-free operation
• No guarantee of uninterrupted access
• No guarantee that uploaded content will not be lost

Use the Service at your own risk.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold HomeLifeSpan harmless against claims arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• User-generated content
• Violations of these Terms

13. Severability

If any provision is declared invalid, the remainder of the Terms remain in full effect.

14. Governing Law and Arbitration

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York (or your chosen jurisdiction).

Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration except where prohibited by law.

15. Third-Party Services

By using HomeLifeSpan, you agree to the terms of:

• Stripe
• Supabase
• Resend/Postmark
• Analytics providers

We may add or remove integrations over time.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and HomeLifeSpan.
