What is HomeLifeSpan?

HomeLifeSpan is your personal home management hub. We help homeowners and landlords:

  • Track every appliance in your home with purchase dates, warranties, and maintenance history

  • Store warranties and receipts digitally for easy access when you need them
  • Get risk scores that highlight which appliances need attention soon

Quick Start: 4 Steps to Get Set Up

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Visit homelifespan.co/signup and enter your email
  2. Create a secure password
  3. Verify your email address (check your inbox!)
  4. You're in!

HomeLifeSpan offers a free tier that lets you track up to 10 appliances. Perfect for getting started and seeing if it's right for you.

Step 2: Add Your First Property

After signing up, you'll be prompted to add your home:

  1. Click "Add Property" from the dashboard
  2. Give your property a name (e.g., "123 Main Street" or "Beach House")
  3. Optionally add the address for your records
  4. Click Save

Your property is now ready to receive appliances!

Step 3: Add Your First Appliances

This is where the magic happens. For each appliance in your home:

  1. Go to Appliances in the sidebar
  2. Click "Add Appliance"
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Name: e.g., "Kitchen Refrigerator"
    • Category: Select from our list (HVAC, Kitchen, Laundry, etc.)
    • Brand & Model: Helps with warranty lookups
    • Purchase Date: When you bought it
    • Purchase Price: What you paid
    • Warranty Expiration: If you have one
  4. Click Save
Start with the big stuff

Don't feel pressured to add everything at once. Start with your major appliances—refrigerator, HVAC, washer/dryer, water heater—and add more over time.

Step 4: Upload a Warranty or Receipt

Keep your important documents safe and searchable:

  1. Go to Warranties or Receipts in the sidebar
  2. Click "Add Warranty" or "Upload Receipt"
  3. Fill in the details and upload your document (PDF or image)
  4. Link it to the relevant appliance

Now when your dishwasher acts up, you'll have the warranty info right at your fingertips.
